Maximilian van der Lecq

Maximilian is a member of the CrossBoundary Advisory team based in Johannesburg. He is a CFA Charterholder, holding a Master’s in Financial Technology as well as a BCom (Honours) in Economic Analysis of Financial Markets from the University of Cape Town, along with a BCom in Investment Management from Stellenbosch University. Max has authored research published in two international peer-reviewed academic journals, with a focus on portfolio optimization and financial risk management.

Before joining CrossBoundary, Max was a Private Equity Analyst at Oceanrock Consulting, a firm providing research, analysis, and decision-making support to various sectors of the UK investment community, including private equity funds, family offices, hedge funds, asset managers, M&A boutiques, and corporates.
