Asatu Shannon

Asatu holds an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Masters in Financial Economics from Boston University’s International Graduate Program, and a Bachelors in International Finance from The American University in Washington DC.  Asatu is an investment and strategy professional, specializing in impact and emerging markets. She has 16+ years of experience uncovering and managing investments mainly in West Africa and Europe.

Before joining CrossBoundary, Asatu ran her own impact investments advisory practice, where she advised clients in the private and public sector on investment preparedness and optimizing latent assets. Prior to that she was an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs and Private Equity Investor for a British DFI-backed impact investment fund focused on post-conflict countries.  Asatu is currently the Director of ARIA Programs overseeing investment activities across Benin, DRC, Ethiopia, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
