Isaac Mera Chehin

Principal, Environment and Social Advisor

Isaac Mera holds a Master’s in International Environmental Law from American University and a Bachelor’s in Law and Political Science from Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University. He has also completed an international training program in language teaching.
Prior to joining CrossBoundary as the Principal Environmental and Social Advisor for LATAM, supporting the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Isaac spent over 12 years working with organizations such as The World Bank, Bridge Carbon, and The Nature Conservancy. He specializes in environmental and social safeguards, risk management, and sustainable development and has led high-impact projects, stakeholder engagement initiatives, resettlement planning efforts, and carbon reduction programs across diverse sectors.
