Japheth Omari

Japheth Omari is the Head of Engineering at CrossBoundary Access. He is based in CrossBoundary’s Nairobi office. Before joining CrossBoundary Access, Japheth worked as the Senior Technical Advisor for mini-grids at AECF supporting a program deploying US$60M to renewable energy businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa.  He has consulted for GIZ and EU Africa Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP) mini-grid programs in Kenya, Zambia, and Uganda. Japheth has also supported KPLC last mile and mini-grids electrification programs as well as private sector mini-grids in Kenya.  Japheth holds a Master of Engineering in Energy and Environmental Management from the University of Flensburg and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nairobi.
