Kakule Jeannot
Kakule Jeannot holds a bachelor’s in industrial electrical engineering from the Higher Institute of Applied Techniques and Development of Beni (ISTA-D) and is PMP® certified by PMI, ORHVS certified by Devoltage Training centre, He is also certified in PM and CM of Tesla Powerpack systems.
He has more than 10 years of experience in the energy sector in the DRC, with strong expertise in Solar mini-grids, and utility-scale solar projects. As one of the pioneers of solar energy in the DRC, he contributed in 2015 to the implementation of the country’s first industrial solar power plant at the Bilingual Christian University of Congo (UCBC) in Beni.
In 2019, He also contributed to the development and implementation of the largest off-grid solar mini-grid in sub-Saharan Africa in Goma and in 2024 to the first solar-hydropower integration projects in the DRC with the Virunga and Nuru power plants, as an implementation Engineer.
At Nuru, where he served as O&M Manager, he contributed to the development and operation of hybrid Solar power plants in Goma, Kindu, and Bunia, as well as Garamba/Tadu and Faradje. One of his key achievements was maintaining all plants and the MV/LV DN at a technical performance level above 98% and successfully integrating Hydro Plant and Solar Power plant (Hydro-BESS + PV + DG).
Currently, as Plant Manager at CrossBoundary Energy, He leads the O&M mobilization and Plant operations for a 233 MWp hybrid solar power plant. His responsibilities include developing O&M procedures, coordinating technical teams, implementing PM and CM strategies, preparing and managing O&M budgets, managing subcontractors, monitoring plant performance through SCADA and CMMS systems, and ensuring compliance with HSE, availability, and reliability standards.
His career combines strong technical expertise, operational leadership, and project management capabilities in delivering complex energy projects in demanding environments.
