Muna Yuusuf

Muna Yuusuf is an Associate Principal in the CrossBoundary Energy investment team where she is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with investors and partners of CrossBoundary Energy as well as fundraising activities including the structuring of debt and equity capital to fund construction and firm development costs as the CrossBoundary Energy platform continues to scale and capture the largely untapped and increasing demand for energy security and decarbonisation requirements of tier 1 global commercial and industrial customers operating across the African continent and select OECD markets.

Prior to joining Crossboundary Energy, Muna was an investment professional within BlackRock’s European infrastructure debt team within BlackRock Alternatives where she was responsible for originating, underwriting, executing and monitoring of infrastructure debt transactions within the European market with an average ticket size of €100m. During her time at BlackRock Muna was also responsible for the originating, underwriting, executing and monitoring of primary investments in tier 1 global infrastructure funds as well as minority equity positions in infrastructure projects on an opportunistic basis. Prior to this, Muna began my career at Investec Bank in 2018 where she was a member of the Power & Infrastructure Finance team with a focus on renewable energy and conventional power project finance. Muna Yuusuf holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting from Anglia Ruskin University and is based in our Nairobi office.
