Ryan Sturgill
Ryan Sturgill has led investment teams and advised on corporate, fund, and project financings for the past 18 years in the Middle East and Asia. He has deep experience helping investors and project developers raise capital, as well as effectively executing complex transactions with public sector stakeholders and international finance institutions. His experience spans J.P. Morgan’s investment bank, the US Development Finance Corporation, Abraaj Capital, and as an independent consultant. He holds degrees in business and development economics from MIT, Harvard, and Georgetown.
He has supported more than $2.5B in U.S. transactions, including the $900M Kindred–RehabCare acquisition, $1B refinancing for Smithfield, and $830M Mead Johnson IPO. He has led advisory teams globally involving government and IFI counterparties including: a $350M UAE government innovation fund for education, a $370M 250MW CCGT power project financing and $14M in DFI lending to financial institutions in Palestine; a $100M+ airport investment and privatization concession in the Philippines; $40M in SME finance transactions in Jordan; in addition to other transaction work across Iraq, Myanmar, Guatemala, Kenya, Pakistan, Yemen, and Afghanistan.
